Synopsis- Ever since her sister left, Meg’s life has never been easy. Now however she has a chance to find her when she is accepted into Black Dale, a prestigious school for girls an guys. The moment she goes their though she doesn’t feel the most welcomed. As she begins to settle though she slows finds Black Dale to be at least livable. This changes though when she begins having these strange visions of the a place and people she has never seen before. It’s right after this happens that odd disappearances begin happening around the school and she begins to suspect Natasha, a girl who is known well for her temper. However as she digs more into the truth of these monsters and her sister’s disappearance, Meg begins to realize not only that the school may be holding a dark secret, but also that she is deeply connected by a group of her girls who all seem to not be fully normal.

Characters

Meg

An 18 year old who has had some trouble with school. Prior to attending Black Dale she used to be home schooled after a certain incident happened. However when having an odd dream of Elena she is compelled to attend Black Dale and find out what’s happening to her sister. Meg is an opinionated and at times cynical girl who has a tough time forgiving others. She’s not depressed, but due to being bullied a lot in the past has a bit of a hard time trust others. Meg at times feels a bit envious of certain people, aka her sister, but tries to hide it as she doesn’t want to act on her more negative emotions. She also has quite the tongue on her, but only when she is feeling attacked. Meg though is still a fairly open minded person and tries her best to learn to care for those around her. Her relationship with her sister though is quite strained and she wonders if she actually want to find her. Her role is the tragic princess.

Natasha

A tough and rather rude girl who is one of the few rich students who care little for the status quo. Since attending Black Dale, Natasha has been quite rebellious and is known throughout the school for her attitude and disrespectful nature. Despite being intimidating and impatient, Natasha is still noble at heart and has always tried to look out for the weak. It’s her attitude though that make others think she’s bad, but in reality she is misunderstood. Natasha is someone who doesn’t believe in lingering on past mistakes and has always gone ahead with her life, not wanting to look back on the shadows that haunt her. However for her there is one thing keeping her from fully moving on and it may end up costing her life if she isn’t careful. For Natasha fighting is something she has always done to both humans and the creatures she has fought off for many years. Unlike her friend she has not become tired of it and seems to enjoy fighting the baddies that attack her and her friends. Still despite her confidence, Natasha is very emotional and her greatest weakness is her inability to trust others. Her weapon are gauntlets. Her spirit is the knight.

Danny

Natasha’s best friend. Unlike Natasha, Danny is wise, thoughtful, and calm in most situations. She’s the most mature of the group and has a caring nature for most around her. Given her cool and wise attitude it’s easy to trust Danny with even your most darkest of secrets. Still she isn’t above losing her temper and can be quite scary when pissed off, something of which only Natasha and a certain other have managed to pull of. Given her calm nature, Danny can be considered a leader in a way, always thinking of a situation before acting. Still she is one to keep secrets and doesn’t talk much about her past. She also always knows things that one shouldn’t and sometimes appears at the most oddest of times. For her friendship is important and she is one who tries not to act on her more negative emotions. With the new threat rising though she will have to face not only her family heritage, but also the truths on her mother’s death. Her weapon is a voodoo doll. Her spirit is the wise soul

Makoto

A smart but sneaky and cunning girl who is best not to angry. Makoto is far from being the shy type and is one who isn’t at all afraid of speaking her mind. She is someone though who prefers to watch others and learn more about them in order to know who they are. Makoto can be considered the most mature of the group and like Danny is quite calm, but her rudeness to others might make one question that. She isn’t immature, but is quite sarcastic and even a bit sadistic with how she treats others. Many of her piers believe Makoto to be the boring, smart type, but what she does during her free time isn’t fully known. Unlike Danny she is one who is often honest, though sometimes too honest, and doesn’t care much for the weak  or people who lie. Though calm she is one not to make angry and it’s rumored whenever their is someone she doesn’t like that something bad happens to them. She also knows more of what’s going on than anyone in the story. Is a bit vengeful. Her weapon is a secret. Her spirit is the deceiver.

Morgan

A peppy and very friendly girl who takes an interest in Meg from the beginning. If you want a true friend, Morgan is the girl for you. She is trusting, caring, and very energetic though sometimes a bit too much. Morgan is a very determined person as well and always tries to help those outside of her inner circle. Even Makoto is slightly charmed by her positive aura. Morgan is the most immature of the girls and doesn’t take no for an answer. Some of her piers do find her overwhelming, but her compassion is what makes many stay around her. She is also a bit naive however and seems the most out of place in the story when she learns of the what’s going on. Morgan is also very emotional, even more then Natasha, and can’t stand liars.  She is a hopeless romantic though and is constantly  going from guy to guy to seek comfort. Not much is known about her family and they are rarely seen, so some believe she is an orphan. For her though she prefers to live in the here and now. Still even with her cheery smile the girl may not be as sane as some believe. Her weapon is unknown. Her spirit is the lost soul.

Important Characters

Sam

Meg’s roommate. The pair get along very quickly due to how nervous Black Dale makes them. Sam is a shy, smart, but friend girl who has many big dreams…sort of. She has come to Black Dale truthfully to please her mom, so she struggles with making decisions when it comes to fun. Though shy she isn’t afraid of speaking her mind and can be very passionate about something once she has set her mind to it. Due to being very smart she is a bit of a rival for Makoto and the two don’t see eye to eye. When not studying she can be found with her head in a book.

Faye

Makoto’s sort of friend. Faye is the daughter of the owner of the school and niece to the principle. She’s a spoiled, rude, and conceited girl who believes only the best of the best can attend Black Dale. Out of all in the story she is the most ‘human’ and isn’t aware of the going ons around the school or the town. Still she’s not an all bad girl though and seems to be quite lonely due to her dad never really visiting her and most of her friends only using her for her name. Still she is more of the comic relief in a way.

Elena(sprite coming soon)

Meg’s older sister. She left home for unknown reasons though it’s suspected it’s because of her grandma’s controlling nature. Elena is said to be sweet, gentle, though a bit hard minded. She is one to often see her goals through to the end even if it means hurting others. She is very apologetic though and is said to regret any decision that may hurt another. Her disappearance has affected Meg, but in a odd way. It seems she has some type of relationship with all the characters as well, but that’s not known till much later in the story.

Supporting Characters

Miss Oakdale(sprite coming soon)

The serious and cold principle of the school. She is Faye’s aunt though they don’t get along very well. She holds strong to the beliefs of the school.

Miss Cross(sprite coming soon)

The opposite of her name, Miss Cross is a funny, friendly though somewhat lazy woman. She is a bit superstitious as well and wants a husband who can cook since she’s bad at it. She’s also Sam’s and Meg’s English teacher

Mr Conway

A cold and rathe rude old man. He is very loyal to Miss Oakdale and dislikes Miss Cross. He teacher Meg’s Algebra class.

Game Info

Black Dale is a GxG slice of life story focusing on the story of Meg and six girls who are someone connected to her. As a visual novel the story will have choices and different paths, each having their own unique story. The game itself is a bit of a slice of life given the setting, but also modern fantasy and action as the story gets going. Currently the game is not set to have an adult version as it’s story and character driven. However their will be mature themes in the story such as suicide and gore.
